Karin E. Smith, Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Smith has 20 years of International trade, Customs compliance and direct filing experience. Most notably, she was the Project Lead in designing, developing and implementing a “best-in-class” direct filing program at Target Corporation. Karin has spent the last 10 years working specifically with direct filing in various capacities, and is an advocate of direct filing as a means to creating a highly successful, efficient and compliant import program. She is an active participant in AAEI, ICPA and OCWIT.
Jeffrey J. Smith, Chief Operating Officer and Chairman of the Board
Mr. Smith has over 20 years of finance and strategic business development experience with Fortune 500 companies. Jeff spent several years with Best Buy as a member of the Bestbuy.com executive team. Jeff then moved to Gateway Computers to manage their finance team for the Consumer Direct and Marketing teams. Most recently, Jeff has been independently consulting with companies in the areas of corporate financial planning and analysis, reporting and analytics and organizational design.
Robert J. Blackwell, Esq., Vice President, Marketing
Mr. Blackwell has 20 years of diverse experience, starting as an attorney for 9 years at several large firms. Rob also played a vital role in the launch of Bestbuy.com, and served in leadership roles at Gateway Computers. More recently, Rob has been providing consulting services to large corporations in areas of marketing, e-commerce, project management and more.
Randy L. Green, Vice President, Operations and Support
Mr. Green has over 13 years of customs compliance, international trade, product sourcing and international logistics experience. Randy began working in the small package courier industry before joining Target Corporation. There he worked in product sourcing and development for Target Sourcing Services, which has offices in over 27 countries worldwide. Randy then moved on to customs compliance for Target where he specialized in product classification, binding ruling requests, Free Trade Agreement qualification, and entry audit. Randy is a Licensed Customs Broker and is a member of MGTA and AAEI.
Nic F. Adams, Vice President, Client Services
Mr. Adams has 27 years of importing experience, with emphasis in the areas of finance, transportation, and customs compliance. He has worked for two customs brokers and two self-filing importers, including 13 years at Target Corporation where he managed the direct filing of customs entries and the processing of all Importer Security Filings (ISFs). Mr. Adams is well-versed in helping importers implement a direct filing program. He is a licensed Customs broker and is a member of CBP’s Trade Support Network Entry Committee and AAEI’s Regulated Industries Committee.
