CBP Policy Notice

Read the Jan 26, 2015 CBP Policy Notice from HQ - ACE cargo release policy for non-automated CFS, bonded warehouse and terminal facilities.

ACE Update

By the end of 2016, the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) will become the Single Window - the primary system through which the trade community will report imports and exports and the government will determine admissibility. Through ACE, manual processes will be streamlined and automated, paper will be eliminated, and the international trade community will be able to more easily and efficiently comply with U.S. laws and regulations.

CustomsNow™ ACE Cargo Query System (CQS) NEW

As ACE replaces ACS as U.S. Customs’ official system of record, the trade is at last moving to a paperless environment. With its ACE-certified software, CustomsNow™ proudly introduces its Cargo Query System (CQS), which gives you a real-time electronic system that provides immediate proof of U.S. Customs and (as available) Partner Government Agency (PGA) cargo release for entries filed in ACE.

Goodbye 3461. Hello Automation.

If you are a container freight station (CFS), bonded warehouse, terminal facility, or freight forwarder, you NEED this. Non-automated parties MUST get automated to obtain electronic proof of CBP and PGA release.

With CustomsNow™ CQS, simply:

  1. Enter a bill of lading or air waybill
  2. Transmit to CBP for immediate response
  3. See real-time release data, including:
    1. CBP’s “ONE USG” release message
    2. PGA holds or “May Proceeds”
  4. Store the electronic copy as proof of release

Contact us today to discuss how our CQS will give you the
instant visibility you need!

U.S. Customs Mandate:

  • CBP has a November 1, 2015, deadline for all entries to be filed in ACE.
  • No longer will a paper CF3461 be used as proof of release.
  • Non-automated parties NEED to get automated to gain electronic proof of CBP and PGA release.

“In order to effectively operate in an increasingly paperless environment, non-automated facilities are strongly encouraged to automate as functionality is delivered in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) to modernize trade processing”
