Technology

Today, the resources of IT departments are stretched. Almost every part of an organization relies on some form of technology systems and support. Because of this, your priorities are not always that of IT's. Many projects, whether revenue generating, cost saving, or efficiency gaining, often get tabled before they start. This is why CustomsNow provides technology solutions that minimize the dependency and impact on your IT department. By providing a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, we can speed your project up by limiting the time required your IT department. There are no capital asset requisition forms to get approved, no hardware costs, no software or maintenance costs.

Integration

Automate 100% of the ISF and up to 85% of the import entry!

Our system is designed to run independently, requiring no system integration. However, to maximize the efficiency of a direct filing program, a highly automated process (link to open sample data process flow diagram below) can be created.

Required data elements are mapped based on each client's needs then automatically uploaded to CustomsNow™ to create the ISF and/or entry. With this integration, your staff spends their time validating entry information rather than manually keying data. By doing so, vendor document scrutiny is increased, errors are corrected prior to entry, and keying errors are all but eliminated.

ISF

Our system is designed to run independently, requiring no system integration. However, to maximize the efficiency of a direct filing program, a highly automated process can be created.

For most companies, the data already exists in your ERP, global trade management system or elsewhere, and can auto-populate up to 100% of the importer security filing - and even automate the transmission process. This creates a fully automated ISF process.

Manage the ISF process by exception only, using our dashboard and customized reporting functions.

ABI Import Entry

Using existing internal data as well as any ISF data, nearly 85% of the import entry can be populated automatically. The final steps to complete the entry are simple and ensure validation and proper oversight of all entry data prior to transmission.

SaaS

SaaS applications are nothing new. They are proven and trusted solutions that large corporations rely on to run their businesses.

For example:

  • Salesforce.com
  • Cybersource
  • Webex
  • Google
  • Yahoo!
  • Microsoft Live Meeting
  • Gotomeeting.com

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a powerful business model based on a multi-client delivery model whereby the application is shared across all clients by providing access over the internet from a shared hosting facility. This model has substantial benefits over the traditional software license and install model by aligning costs with the value received.

The traditional large upfront costs, maintenance and time to implementation can inhibit the ability to accurately predict the ROI on the investment, ultimately losing executive sponsorship. With SaaS, unknowns are taken out of the ROI equation making it a highly predictable model…you get what you pay for.

With the adaption of SaaS platform, there has been no better time to leverage this technology to significantly reduce costs and increase efficiency.
